Happy Birthday

My friend Randi over at i have to say...... is celebrating a birthday for her one year old Etsy shop, Fresh Squeezed! There is also a super giveaway you won't want to miss.
I hope you will take a look at her awesome blog with so much inspiration~ She has the most gorgeous selection of fabric, along with some great tutorials!

The past few weeks have been quite a whirlwind. We have been working furiously finishing up school, preparing for our camping trip, a couple of family surgeries, and so many little things going on around here. Whew, it's good to be home and think about how we will spend our summer. First, my sweet little home needs a good cleaning, the garden needs weeding, and laundry needs washing! So, that's what's on the agenda for today! I'm off to get my home in order.

Camping Trip

Nothing says "It's Summertime" like the first camping trip of the year.
We had a great time camping, hiking, eating, and laughing together!!
Here are a few pictures I wanted to share of our hike. The first is at the top of Roan Bluff with a fabulous view in the background!!

Hello, I'm still here! We have been very busy the past few weeks so I've neglected my blog terribly! Sorry to go so long without posting.

I wanted to share a great giveaway for a quilt book today.
Visit Dawn's blog over at Linen Closet Quilts and take a look at her blog and that neat book she will be giving away! Dawn is a very talented quilt designer who loves antique and vintage quilts.

Although we are working hard to finish up our schoolyear we are making time for some fun too! Soccer, fun with friends, including our dog Ellie, and time spent with family.

Tomorrow night we are celebrating as we have an end of the year program with our precious Homeschool Group! Each child will be recognized as they move up to the next grade level. The kids have been practicing songs to sing and playing the handbells during the program. We're excited to "Celebrate" together with our friends!! God has blessed us with such sweet friends through our homeschool group that are such an inspiration and encouragement to our family.
