Posy Progress

Where in the world did this week go? It has been so very busy for us. Between our running around I have found the time to work on the table runner and having so much fun! It's really been easy to make and if I can get in a few more hours I may be able to finish it very soon. I am so please with the colors after sewing the border together and doing the applique. I'm actually planning to make several of these in different colors if I can manage to find the time.
I planned to wait until it was completed before sharing but I just can't wait......it's too cute and I'm dying to show you!LOL!
Gotta run, more work before the night is finished!

Posy Patch Table Runner

Since completing the two larger projects just lately I have been looking for a smaller project to keep my hands busy. This is what I found. The Posy Patch Table runner or wall hanging found in the Fall issue of Easy Quilts Magazine, which is published by Fons and Porter's Love of Quilting. I love their magazines and the website too!
My fabric colors are pink and greens.
The cute little calendar to the right is the birthday gift I posted about earlier. This is what is says:
"He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shall
thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler."
Psalm 91:4

Happy Easter to you!!

New Books

I received two new books in the same week! We've already begun reading The Civil War Diary Quilt and love the wonderful diary entries. I have never quilted by paper piecing and wish anyone who has advice for a beginner could help me out. I first learned to piece only by machine so I haven't started any of the gorgeous blocks.
The other book is A Seeking Heart by Alicia Williamson and Sarah Groves. I posted previously about the wonderful Women's Retreat I attended and heard Alicia speak on Worship. This is the book I ordered and I can't wait to begin!

Little Surprises!!I received an early birthday present from my sweet friend Denise! A Worship CD by Hillsong, matching notepad and cards, magnet, Quilters Calendar, and a lovely book that I forgot to place in the picture since I left it on the end table after reading from it.
THANK YOU my friend!! See, it's not so bad turning......41!! LOL! She also surprised me with a yummy cookie cake adorned with three little candles at our Homeschool Mom's Meeting last night. How sweet of you!
Have a Blessed Day my friends!!

Horse Riding Fun

Does she look happy? You bet! Our neighbor invited my youngest dd to ride, she's loving it! She was invited to come over as much as she wants when they are out riding. Yeah! Of course, dad is along side with a lead for now.

Today was a beautiful day with sunshine and warmer temperatures. Looking forward to Spring, just around the corner.

Twists and Turns

Today is absolutely gorgeous! The sun is shining and the temperatures are to be in the low 70's!! Yeah, I'm so excited to have a few days of sunshine!

I wanted to share a picture of the stippling I'm doing on my daughter's quilt. It's quite fun once you are able to relax and make friends with your machine during all the twists and turns. It has taken LOTS of practice over the past few days! If I only had one day to work without all the interuptions of life. Laundry, cooking, doctor appointments, etc. seem to keep me from getting much accomplished at one time.

Gotta run, lots to do. We have a busy week ahead.
