Carol Kent

A few years ago I was privileged to attend a weekend retreat with my church friends where the speaker was Carol Kent. This amazingly talented and hilariously funny Christian motivational speaker truly blessed our hearts that weekend as she shared her story of the journey of her son's arrest for murder. Then again, about three years ago I was lucky enough to hear her again as she was the speaker at a local Christian College in our area.
Today I came across her website here and watched the documentary of this journey. Tears flowed and my heart was touched once again. God continues to use this precious lady, who is a wife and mother just like myself, to teach the LOVE OF JESUS!!
If you ever have the chance to hear Carol in person, PLEASE, you truly don't want to miss her. I came home that weekend truly blessed.
Please, take a few minutes and watch this documentary and I promise your day will be blessed. Share this with your friends and family today, you can spread the love of Jesus too!

Have a Great Weekend!

Snow covered mountains

Mountain View from our back window a few days ago.

Yes, we still have snow.....but the sun is shining today
and temperatures are rising. Yahoooooo!!

I love starting a new quilt......here is my first one for 2010....
almost finished.

Her it is laid out on the floor as I was deciding how to arrange
the blocks.

The material is all 100% cotton Moda. I love the bright and cheery colors!

Close up of one block

Now I must go and sew the rows together and we have one pieced quilt.....well, once I add
the borders!!

Snow and more snow!

Three weeks ago the snow was beautiful!!
Today we are praying for sunshine......tired of all the snow and very COLD weather!!
The weatherman is predicting a little snow again tonight....yikes!

So....we continue to enjoy being tucked away inside our warm and cozy home.
I've been working on my new
blocks.....

and I also visited my favorite little quilt shop
and purchased fabric for a new quilt.

Looking forward to getting the word out that I will
be making quilts to sell....very soo
n!
