 Sunday Sunshine

Today has been gorgeous! Sunshine has been much needed after all the snow we've had the past few weeks.

It was so nice, I took my latest project outside to take pictures.

                                                Little Owls

We have had a more than usual amount of snow the past few weeks and I've been a brave girl and drove to work every day except a few when I rode together with a friend.

 Seasons of Life

Praising God for this beautiful Sunday morning!
There have been so many changes over the past few months and since I last blogged. I love to visit each of my blog friends from time to time but life has been so busy that there was no time to blog myself.
I started blogging because of my love for quilting but during this season of my life there isn't time for sewing. I try to enjoy each day and not look back but look forward to all God has in store for us on this journey ahead.

  "Wedding Day"

Going back to work after being a stay-at-home mom for many years has been a huge change in our lives and God has been there for our family through all the changes. We celebrated our oldest daughter's wedding to a wonderful man in June, our youngest daughter graduated and started college, and my father has had several health issues, the worse being dementia.

God is so good as we celebrate happy occasions and cry over the sad times.
Helping care for my dad has been a very stressful and burdensome time but we trust the Lord DAILY for his strength, provision, and peace we find when we give all our cares to Him during this season of life.

We are learning daily how to cope with this dreadful disease and how to care for our dad. I would love to hear from others who may be going through this situation or who has experienced caring for someone with dementia.

"GOD BLESS YOU"

But He who trusts in the Lord, mercy

Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous;

Blogger's BOM Block #6

Most days our lives are quite busy around here. My husband owns his own business and he stays very busy. My girls are both in school and also work so they are in and out and I can barely keep up with their schedules.

And me, well, I'm just the lady who cooks, cleans, runs errands, laundry queen, and tries to keep our home running smoothly as possible in between babysitting for a dear friend and cleaning houses on the side. No glamour here, just a little hard work and common sense...ha!! But, this is what God has called me to do and I will continue JOYFULLY until He gives me further notice!

So, with such business each day I find I'm usually struggling to make time for my quilting.

I have managed to get quite

a bit accomplished the past two weeks. I just haven't had time to blog or post

 pictures.

So today I wanted to show Block #6 in the Blogger's BOM.
I love this block and it was so fun to make.

On a  personal note, we have been celebrating my oldest daughter's engagement!

Although the wedding isn't until next summer we are excited and already making plans.

CONGRATULATIONS

Whitney and Ryan
We love you!!!!
