A Mountain Quiltfest, Pigeon Forge, TN

Quiltfest in Pigeon Forge, TN was awesome!!
My husband and I drove down for the day and I had a wonderful time looking at all the quit goodies and the quilts on display.
Here are a few of my favoirtes.

 "To Grandma's House We Go"
by Patsy Caraway
Morganton, NC

 ***********************

 "Grandmother's Country Album"
by Sandy Poehler
Dandridge, TN

 ********************

"13 Year President's Quilt"
by Camelia Elliott and friends
This quilt took 13 years to make, quilted by
the senior center in Amarillo, TX

 Close up of the details

As I stood admiring this quilt I overheard a couple
of ladies next to me talking about how this
quilt reminded them of when they were little
girls and this quilt reminded them of their grandmother
sitting around with family and friends quilting.
My, how times have changed in just a couple
of generations past!!

I envy you being able to go to Pigeon Forge and see all the quilts! Have you ever been to the Cherry Pit in Sevierville or Holloways in Cosby? I love to visit them on our yearly trip.
