Twists and Turns

Today is absolutely gorgeous! The sun is shining and the temperatures are to be in the low 70's!! Yeah, I'm so excited to have a few days of sunshine!

I wanted to share a picture of the stippling I'm doing on my daughter's quilt. It's quite fun once you are able to relax and make friends with your machine during all the twists and turns. It has taken LOTS of practice over the past few days! If I only had one day to work without all the interuptions of life. Laundry, cooking, doctor appointments, etc. seem to keep me from getting much accomplished at one time.

Gotta run, lots to do. We have a busy week ahead.

Your quilting looks great. I have not been as successful when I tried it. Maybe I should dust my quilt off and try again.

Just curious: What are the gloves for?

Thank you so much for the award!!! Your daughter's quilt is wonderful! I love the colrs. The stippling on the machine looks terrifying to me!! You are doing a wonderful job. Machine quilting is a talent, for sure!
I have a homeschool ?...what spelling curriculum do you use?

Your quilt looks amazing! I have a sewing machine, something I bought 15 years ago when I moved--all by myself--to town and thought it would keep me occupied until I found some friends to hang out with. I made xmas presents (placemats, aprons, wine bags) that year then had no free time afterwards to even open the thing up! Wish I could remember how to thread it, my 9-year-old is so interested in fashion design and would love to start sewing! One of these days I'll find her a sewing class! Katie

Thanks for visiting me at Aroma of Joy. I LOVE your quilt!!! I taught myself how to make some very basic quilts but I haven't even seen my machine in 5 years. I think it is buried under some sporting equipment. I have several "quilt tops" that I never finished. Perhaps someday I will find time to return to it.....Meanwhile, I will just come and visit you!
