Mama's Day Out

Oh, my, what a fun day! I had the opportunity to visit some wonderful quilt shops within 30 minutes of my home. With just a few snowflakes swirling I took my queen size quilt to the quilters and on the way back stopped at two fabulous quilt shops! So many fabrics, patterns, and anything else you could possibly desire. I had such a great time just looking around and admiring all the fabrics, ooohing and aaahing as I strolled through the store. I definitely love red and brown together and would love to make a quilt with these colors. One of the quilts displayed just jumped out at me and I still have the picture in my mind. Of course, I love pink, green, blue, and so many other colors. The bright designs are so fun, from polka dots to swirls. I usually have a difficult time matching colors when I have so many to choose from but I know what I like when I see it together in a quilt! :0)
Off now to eat dinner. I came home and made a nice pot of Broccoli and cheese soup, yummy!

I've added a few new friends to my sidebar and would love for you to take a look at their wonderful blogs! I love making new friends!!

First, Megan, at Will Work for Fabric has a cute pattern for a Nifty Needle Case for free at her blog in honor of her 100th post, you'll want to take a look. She just made a beautiful black and blue bag that I love!

Blogland is just awesome, my new friend Anne Ida is in Norway, isn't that just too cool! She has just finished her latest quilt, Home for the Holidays and it's gorgeous!

Marcie at Patchalot More has so much on her blog that I could just sit all day and daydream! She has instructions for making labels for your quilts and a cute quilt story to go along with it!

Enjoyed visiting Angie's blog at Threadcatcher and learned a little about her from her post on 7 Random Things About Moi. Love those red hearts you've pieced!

I love new craft blog links--thanks!

I did manage to find your blog as you can see! It has been a while since i have made a quilt, but I am in a bit of a crafting rut right now and making one sure sounds fun. I think that the cold winter days do that to me!
